KESARI HARAVOO HEADS STATE FILM AWARD PANEL

From just one well made cinema 'Bhoomigeetha' that earned laurels for
the director Kesari Haravoo at the state and national level is now
chairman of the Karnataka State Film Awards for 2007-2008 panel that
is already seeing the Kannada films in the fray for state awards.

The necessity of Kesari Haravoo occupying the place has arose because
of the resignation of C.R.Simha who quit the post because he has acted
in a small role in 'Mathad Mathad Mallige' that is in the fray. Soon
after C.R.Simha vacated the chairman post another member of the state
film award committee Sanketh Kashi also resigned on two grounds that
he has acted in 'Sundari Ganda Sadadanda' and his preoccupation in the
professional career.

With the others members like Anand P Raju, Vijayakumar, K.S.Vasu,
Rathnamala Prakash, Ashok Naidu, Malathi Sudhir and member secretary,
director of information department Mr Vishukumar the award panel is
left to give its verdict to the government.

Kesari Haravoo even though he has directed only one Kannada film
'Bhoomigeetha' produced Mr Madhe Gowda he has made documentaries like
Aghanashini and her children, Sarojini, Sushma and involved in over 20
Kannada feature films as Chief Assistant Director and Scriptwriter
with prominent mainstream film makers like B. Vijay Reddy, D. Rajendra
Babu and V. Ravichandran.
